A Prayer of Repentance
Have mercy on me O God, because of your unfailing love, because of your great compassion,
blot out the stain of my sins. For I recognize my rebellion. Against You, and You alone have I sinned and done what is evil
in your sight. You are right in what you say, and your judgment against me is just. For I was born a sinner, from the moment
my mother conceived me. Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Cast me
not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then will
I teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted and return to You. Deliver me from blood guiltiness and death,
O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness and Your justice. O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth shall show forth Your praise. Father make me one that You delight in, repair my broken-down walls. This day I
give you my life as an act of worship to you. I trust You with my life and thank You for Your faithfulness to forgive me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen |
