A Prayer to Receive The Holy Spirit
This is a Prayer you can say to receive the Holy Ghost. The
Holy Spirit is your Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Stand By. The Holy Ghost was sent
to teach you all things and guide you into ALL truth. (John 14:26, 16:12-13) The Holy Spirit is REAL and for EVERYONE in the Body of
Christ, because God gave His Spirit to the church on the day of the Pentecost. The Holy Spirit helps you fulfill your purpose
and have the strength to do the things that God wants you to. At Salvation, you were reborn as the Holy Spirit recreated
your spirit and came to live inside of you. But his job does not stop with imparting the nature of God into your spirit. He
wants you to let his energizing power explode in you and transform you into an effective witness and put you in contact with
the deep things of God. You are commissioned to be a witness of Jesus and pray for
people. The Holy Spirit, through you, will be free to do what is necessary to bring Salvation, Healing, Deliverance or whatever
the need might be. This empowering for Ministry is a result of receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. You do not have to beg God to give you the empowering of
His Spirit. As a born again believer all you have to do is invite the Holy Spirit to have complete access to your life. He
will clean up the temple. He will help you get rid of habits; he will move the unclean things out of your life. He is the
POWER that gets these done. You will be able to speak in tongues, which is speaking
in another language. When you pray in tongues you are praying "in the Spirit". Praying in tongues is the voice of your Spirit
speaking Spirit mysteries unto God. You will not understand the words coming out of your mouth unless God gives you the interpretation.
The more you pray in tongues the more comfortable you will
become. So practice, practice, practice for God will NOT force you to speak in tongues. The Holy Spirit will supply
the words, but you have to supply the sound. No where, in the New Testament, does it say that the Holy Spirit does the speaking. This is also a good way to pray, rather than praying in
your own words and language if you don’t know what to pray for in certain situations. When ever I am at a loss as to
what to pray I pray in tongues (in the Spirit). I also picture the face of the person I am praying for, while praying
in the Spirit. I just let God use me as HIS Vessel. He may ask you to pray for many, many, many people. Now it is important to begin to speak after you pray the prayer. You can just begin
to thank God and Praise. When I prayed and received the Holy Spirt I began to just say over and over "I plead the Blood
Of Jesus" and the next thing you the Spirit of God just exploded in me. I have never felt anything so wonderful. If you are ready pray the prayer below. Heavenly Father, I am a believer. I am your child and you
are my Father, Jesus is my Lord. I believe with all my heart your word is true.
