Lift Up Your Head for Your God Is A Restorer

May 7, 2010

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” - John 10:10

I went through something this week and even though I was okay with the outcome, I was hurting. I felt like several years of my precious life had been wasted. I felt ashamed, like a failure, like a fool and I was angry. I knew that I had to get rid of these emotions and feelings because frankly that stuff will destroy you if you hold on to it so I took all those emotions and feelings to the Throne of Grace. My Father God plainly said, “Lift Up your head for I am a Restorer. I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten… and I will heal your wounds.

The scriptures Joel 2:21-26 and Jeremiah 30:17 were impressed upon my heart so when He was done speaking, I went and looked up those scriptures and scriptures on restoration. OMG look at what God says to me and anyone else who feels like I felt. I personalized it since He was talking directly to me – and I want you to do the same because if you are reading this then He is speaking directly to you too:

The scriptures Joel 2:21-26 and Jeremiah 30:17 were impressed upon my heart so when He was done speaking, I went and looked up those scriptures and scriptures on restoration. OMG look at what God says to me and anyone else who feels like I felt. I personalized it since He was talking directly to me – and I want you to do the same because if you are reading this then He is speaking directly to you too:

"Fear not, Angeline; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten… and ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed." - Joel 2:21-26

”For I will restore health unto you Angeline, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the LORD; because they called you an Outcast, saying, Angeline, whom no man will seek after.” - Jeremiah 30:17

Instantly my tears of sorrow turned to joy and I could do nothing but rejoice and praise my loving Father! In my carnal thinking, all I could see was that I am old and no one will want me now but clearly, God does not see me this way.

In my opinion, restoration is the primary theme in the Bible and is demonstrated throughout God's Word. It’s what we need from the moment we enter the world. Joseph, Moses, and the Israelites are all examples of this but restoration has much wider implications for all of us. It was Jesus’ purpose for coming… to restore mankind back to God. Obviously, our most original condition is best described in Genesis 1:26-27

“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

What does restore mean?

·         reinstate, re-establish, bring back, return, refurbish, renovate, repair, make amends

·         make an end, finish, full, give again, make good, (re-) pay (again), (make) (to) (be at) peace,

·         recompense, render, require, make restitution, reward,

·         return to its original or usable and functioning condition.

When God restores He brings the object of restoration back in a better way than it was in its former state! When God restores, He brings increase with it! When God restores, He multiplies! Looking at Job we can see this. When God restored Job, He gave Job double what he lost (Job 42:10). That is the nature of Our Loving God.

In all the years, I’ve known God I have come to know that He will always do what He says He will do. His Word will NEVER return void. I don't know how He does it but He does it. "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." (Luke 18:27) Whatever the enemy has tried to take away from you, God wants to restore it and make it better than before. That’s just the kind of Father He is. Every day we have to make a choice. Life happens… we will be tempted to be hurt, wounded, or depressed. However, here is the key… we can complain and remain in the same awful condition or we can praise God and be raised up.

If you have put your faith in Jesus Christ, you are restored right now. Restoration is realized by faith in God and His Word. I implore you to get to know who you are in Christ. There is a great teaching on this by Pastor John Davis of Total Victory International Ministries. Click the link then listen, and then listen again, and then listen again. I promise you will never be the same.

I pray this understanding will not only bring you the restoration you are seeking, but move you further into His plans for your life. Thank you for standing with Save My Loved Ones Ministries. Thank you for drawing from us. Thank you for seeking the Lord for His purposes to be fulfilled in you and in us in these last days.

So let it be in Jesus Name. Amen!

God bless us all,

Angeline
